Incase you haven’t been fortunate enough to try one of these marvels, cake pops are made from combining fully baked cake crumbs with frosting to form a moist fudge-like mixture. They are then hand rolled into balls or various other contortions. We weigh each and every one of our balls of cake to ensure they are all the same size before dipping them in a delicious hard candy coating and decorating them in many wonderful ways.
Our Standard Cake Pops are simple round balls of cake decorated with sprinkles or handmade sugar decorations. Our Bespoke Cake Pops can be virtually any shape or design and are usually hand-painted to create stunning Molly Bakes characters and stories. We have created a myriad of designs from teddy bears and hearts, to zombies and sh*ts on sticks. If our customers can imagine it we can make it.
Molly has created cake pops for weddings, birthday parties, christenings, corporate events and even fashion shows. They are the perfect treat for any occasion and make great gifts, goodie bag fillers or favours.
Our cake pops are rich, moist and flavoursome but not too sweet. In fact we’re pretty sure our cake pops are the tastiest in London as well as the most generously sized.
Cake Pops can last for up to 1 week and are best stored at ambient temperature or 10 days if refrigerated.
Cake Pops and truffles can be delivered by next day courier throughout the UK (or same day in London).
We like to think of these as the Cake Pop’s grown up sibling. Slightly smaller and sleeker, try them as an alternative dessert at your next party or give them to your wedding guests as favours. They even come in dinky truffle boxes making them perfect presents.
In January 2010 Molly Bakes was the first baker in London to introduce cake pops long before they became “the next big thing”. Molly had seen cake pops talked about on American websites and decided to try making some as an alternative baked treat. They were an instant hit on her Brick Lane stall and soon enough became as popular as her cupcakes. She knew she was onto a winner when Selfridges placed their first order in June 2010.
