Class Review

“I wanted to share with you all my experience of attending a Molly Bakes cake pop class. I am a mother of 3 and a house wife and I love baking at home for fun, so I had no ‘professional’ experience before coming to class. We started with some ‘ready made by Molly’ cake & butter cream combined mixture that we fashioned into various shapes representing witches, zombies, ghosts and other Halloween themed characters. After leaving them to cool in the fridge we set about melting the various coloured candy coatings and making our sugar paste accessories ie witches hat, pumpkin stalk and devil horns etc. Once our cake balls had sufficiently chilled the dipping began. We were shown simple technics how to dip and also how to ‘rescue’ any cracked, bubbly or falling off pops. When we had finished our dipping we painted & piped our pops so they resembled our spooky characters. It is a lengthy experience dipping and decorating but the end result was soo worth it. I came away chuffed to bits with my 20 or so wrapped and gift boxed Halloween creations. To anyone thinking about doing the class I would give it a 5 star recommendation. Nothing was rushed (in fact our class overran a bit!) and we were given loads of great tips, tricks and advice. Give it a go!!” Nicola Vickers
